VeryCD究竟是个什么东东？

我问这个问题，可能有些朋友会感觉就好象互联网时代有人问Internet是什么东东一样奇怪

但veryCD的火爆是不是因为它比gmail,wallop更难以获取呢
或是为了获取它出于某种心理上的满足
比如虚荣心
这就好象那时候国内都很追捧gmail一样
@gmail和@126在功能上应该没有什么可比较的
唯一可以拿出来说的好象就是
@gmail应该是IT圈内人的标志
如果你没有gmail似乎你就没在互联网上混过

哈哈，乱发一通言论
其实我是想用gmail邀请换取wallop的邀请
现在获取这三样邀请的难易程度由难到易好象应该是这样
veryCD > wallop > gmail

gmail似乎已经炒过时了
可能很少有已经拥有wallop而没有gmail的了

　　我不想把VeryCD和wallop, gmail相比较，老实说，我们根本不是在一个高度上，无法相提并论。wallop,
gmail的邀请注册是因为他们提供了卓越的服务和用户体验(细细用过你就知道，Gmail和126的邮箱可是完全不同啊)，而VeryCD只是一个普通的论坛，邀请注册只是为了暂时限制用户数量，因为我们的资金有限，暂时无法添置论坛服务器，满足更多网友的访问。受到追捧也只是网友们的错爱罢了，其实要下载我们网站的资源，完全无须注册，在我们的资源页内，可以下载所有从论坛发出，并被版主审核的资源。
　　当然，目前的注册方式确实有很多缺陷，大量想分享自己资源的网友无法进入，对此我们也在尝试着改变，下周，我们会推出一个新的，基于半自动审核的申请注册系统，届时将成为邀请注册方式以外的一个新注册途径。

抵御SYN攻击

今天网站服务器又受到了SYN攻击

网上无聊的人可真多啊。

我们目前只能通过激活 TCP SYN Cookie 保护来抵御syn攻击

echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_syncookies

使用这个要记得将其写入/etc/rc.d/rc.local，否则下次启动就失效了……

Google Suggest

Google一直是那种让人感觉勇于创新的公司，请看这个Beta版的Google Suggest:

试着在搜索框中输入一些英文单词，Google会给出相应的建议。(目前不支持中文)

Google在Blog中对这一项目进行了说明：

与365key合作

　　前天很意外的在我们的合作信箱中收到刘韧的邮件，原来是他的网站365key想与我们合作，通过我们这里的”收藏此页”链接来为365key吸引更多用户，而通过我们被收藏到的页面，也可以吸引更多的365key用户来到VeryCD。一个双赢的合作，我们没有理由拒绝况且，和刘韧合作对我来说还有一种特殊意义。
　　我的网站开发生涯始于2000年，在那一年，刘韧的《中国.com》给了我很大的影响，也让我有机会了解到互联网的前辈们的创业历程。从那时起，我便憧憬着自己的将来，梦想自己有一天能像《中国.com》中的知识英雄们一样，在互联网中纵横驰骋。而今天，我的网站已经有机会和365Key合作，这本身也是对我们的努力的一种认可。我也希望在VeryCD将来能有更多的机会和其他优秀网站进行合作，共同发展，共同提高。

一切都会更好

　　今天付掉了下三个月的房租，虽然荷包空了，人却轻松很多。VeryCD做到今天，一直没有赚到什么钱，却也没有亏钱。网站一直在收支平衡的前提下稳健发展，从今年一月到现在，我们的服务器集群几乎以每月1台的速度增长，目前已形成了一个较为稳定的架构，资源页面已经能够承受门户级的访问量。从今年六七月份和Ath开始全职维护VeryCD以来，先后有三岁、xdanger的加入，办公场所由最初的10平方小间，换到了现在的两室一厅。网站系统系统方面，经过了九月份开始的改版，网站已经从原有的纯论坛模式，平稳的过渡到了目前的资源索引页+资源搜索引擎+论坛的形式。目前每天有50万人次的访问我们的资源页，三万人下载我们的eMule版本。可以说，一切都在朝着一个好的方向前进，我们的努力，终于能有所回报
